Q. Do I need a lot of complicated equipment to be installed at my home or business?

A. No. DigitalEyze connects directly to your PC via USB and the DVR functions are performed on our servers so all you need are cameras and some cables.

Q. Can I have cameras at my home, business or both?

A. Yes you can. DigitalEyze can install cameras at any location and allow you to view all of the cameras simultaneously.

Q. Can I save video that’s been recorded?

A. Yes you can. With DigitalEyze you can download your video clips from our servers.
Is DigitalEyze secure?

A. Yes. DigitalEyze allows users to determine who can log into their viewing environment, and which cameras they can view. Encryption insures that only authorized users can view your video which is stored on our secure servers.

Q. I need a camera that pans and tilts - can I control these features through DigitalEyze®?

A. Yes. DigitalEyze provides limited digital pan-tilt-zoom for cameras that do not have mechanical bases. We also offer mechanical camera bases that allow for a more complete range of motion.

Q. I need to use an infrared camera for recording at night - Will DigitalEyze work for me?

A. Yes. DigitalEyze offers a full array of camera options including infrared, indoor, outdoor, weatherproof, vandal proof and hidden.

Q. Do I need to set up a firewall or server for DigitalEyze?

A. No. DigitalEyze distributes video from our secure server site. This provides a high-availability, high-bandwidth, high-security environment for user video without requiring any complicated setup by the user. A camera and an internet connection are the only things required.

Q. Is any programming required?

A. No. Full-featured video is available from any camera added to a user's account immediately through the DigitalEyze web site, through the DigitalEyze client.

Q. Can I add cameras if my needs change

A. Yes. DigitalEyze allows up to four cameras per location.

Q. Can I have cameras put into my home and business?

A. Absolutely. You can have as many locations on your account as you want or need. You’ll be able to view all of your cameras at all of your locations simultaneously.

Q. How much bandwidth do I need?

A. Each camera requires approximately 64Kbps upstream bandwidth. This allows most DSL or Cable Modem connections to support multiple cameras, and cellular broadband cards to support a single camera. The DigitalEyze system automatically adjusts for available bandwidth by both the camera and the viewer.
